The Ljubljana Deadly Tour takes you through the unique work of art and “art-chitecture”, Ljubljana’s cemetery, a picturesque work of the architect Jože Plečnik. On the way there, we will stop and see other burial practices in the city – from Roman Emona to the Middle Ages.
In the park-like cemetery, the self-designed gravestone by Plečnik is unveiled, stories about important Slovenian personalities come to life and lead to national memorials dedicated to the two great wars. To round off the experience with a visit to the All Saints’ Garden, the relaxed Ljubljana Deadly Tour will shed light on the hidden art of the past and bring to light the peculiar story buried in the Žale cemetery.
